Looking online for a place to eat near Cameron Corners, I was surprised to find a name I'd never heard of, especially when I read that it's been open since 1949. You have to get off of Buckman Springs Road (S1) and go a couple of miles west into Lake Morena Village. Three of us tried one of their specialties, Mexican cuisine. The fresh-made salsa was the first clue that they knew what they were doing. No canned stuff here. A little salty, but very tasty. We all enjoyed our lunch and the portion size was on the large side for us: carne asada quesadilla appetizer, carnitas salad, and 2 beef tacos with rice & beans. Moderately priced. I'd guess they could handle groups up to 10 or 12 easily. We didn't ask for separate checks so I don't know how they feel about that.
Their other specialty is BBQ, which we'd all like to try next time. The inside is very clean, nicely decorated & spacious with a dance floor. Parking is paved. The sign outside says they're open Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Biker friendly. Definitely worth going off the beaten path for.
