On August 25th the La Posta Diner is having a biker appreciation day!!
It starts out with a pancake breakfast and at noon they fire up the grills for ribs and chicken and it goes until the last bike rolls out. I even think its free, but you have to show up on a bike. It their way of showing gratitude ti the loyal bikers and clubs that provide them with 70% of their business.
It is located at 32337 Old Hwy 80 just east of Kitchen Creek Road. Ill be there and withthe group would be great!
We are going to ride up for the breakfast, go for a run somewhere and return for the BBQ.

Found this site by total accident and could not be happier. I am and have been riding for 20 years, everything from dirt bikes, sport bikes, cruisers, and now customs... Previously lived in Oregon and was part of a great motorcycle network (sportbikes.net) but it eventually turned into a bunch of squids of who wanted to be reincarnated as grease spots on the mountain roads. I have been in SD for a few years now and still have not found that network of "ego free, good times and great rides" kind of people. Hopefully this is it. I do miss those times, and those people... but I am just not much on the 'ego enhancement' that some people get when they get onto a motorcycle. Hit me up if you are interested in hanging out, or know of any events that are coming up.

The wife & I ride...she has her own iron horse. I miss San Diego sometimes (OB, Mission Bay, Old Town, etc...look forward to taking some friends from the desert (Palm Springs) within the next couple of months. Would appreciate some hospitality when there - willing to show the same to couples wanting to hang out in the desert...Bike Week in Oct.
We are in our 40's. When we go criusin'; we do some bar hoping, site seeing, shopping, eats & good times - do not believe in getting drunk & riding.

Howdy. Found site quite by accident and what a find! Eats everywhere and some great destinations. Live down here where the S22 and Hwy 86 meet. When it gets hot I head for altitude. S22 opens up to the mountains and the great expanse of San Diego Country...Great excapes. Amazing what country you can cover in a day. Did some traveling last weekend (400mi)and discovered that east county can have some major distance between gas. We had to change our travel plans twice. Gonna have to get a spare tank mounted soon. Ocotillo has a great little place to eat which now serves beer (little waitress was wearing a getup of a real waitress from the 50's)and the Lazy Lizard is always a stop to make. Quiet desert living and a great stop when your headed up the hill (S2-Hwy 78)via Agua Caliente Springs. Two places to get gas too. TOP OFF HERE! Just a warning: Borrego Springs gas is closed by 8, Salton City closed by 8 and new travel center (west on hwy 86) is a reach. I coasted a bunch and averaged 54mpg best ever 2 up. See

It has been about 10 years since I have ridden. I have missed it so much I finally went out and bought another bike. My buddies I use to ride with are no longer around. I love bikes always have. Before I bought this one to be driving down the road and see some one on a bike I would get jealous and reminisce.lol
I am looking for people to ride with. Help me break in my comfort zone with my bike and have fun. Not looking to do the crazy stuff I think I am way past that now. Also my wife has only ridden as a passenger once or twice but we have been talking about it for a couple years now She wanted to wait till I got mine and then she wants to learn. Just getting used to it again will not make me a good teacher also my bike is not a beginner bike. (95 gsx-r750 ported and jetted) My wife is about 5'2" so if I fiind a way to teach her and get her comfortable enough to maybe ride a 600. Any way I have bored you enough?

I and some of his other friends are trying to buy him a 88-91 Honda Goldwing, 02-03 VTX 1300 or 97-04 Kawasaki VN800 Vulcan motorcycle. Howdy - my name is Chris Crawford and I'm the membership Chairman/V.P. for the Red Hot Riders motorcycle club here in San Diego. Glad to see the site up and running again. I encourage any and all San Diego Motorcyclists to join the Red Hot Riders (see useful links). We have sport bike members, cruiser members and dual sport/dirt bike members as well. We try to have one group ride per month (minimum) and meet on the second Wednesday of every month for a group meeting with a guest speaker.....hey that's tomorrow....go to our website for details.

Hello. Any former or current KTM riders out there who want to ride, or any cycle for that matter? I’ve been riding my 84 Honda VT700 Shadow on and off since 1987 and I recently purchased a 2001 KTM 640 Adventure. So far I love the bike and it's features. One of the great features is the mongo 7.5-gallon gas tank. So when you are filling up, I'll sit back and enjoy a quick snooze. ;-) I'd love to go riding on or off road (provided I don't scratch the bike up) with interested riders. Hello, I haven't been on a bike in a long time (I rode a KX80 infrequently over 20 years ago when I was a kid and have only been on two motorcycles for a total of maybe two hours since then), but I'm seriously considering riding a motorcycle for daily commuting and general enjoyment.
